NPI Engineer
1. To coordinate and lead pre - NPI meeting & post pilot run meetings. Actively communicate with related internal department personal & with customers.
2. To be responsible to create work instructions, quality plan, process flow, pilot report for newly introduced and existing running product.
3. To generate Project Master Schedule and drive pilot run activity to meet departmental requirement.
4. Update of document and process performance indicators such as, yield, quality update and status of Corrective Action (CA) effectiveness towards pilot run improvement as specified by customers.
5. To compile a complete Product File (physical & soft copy) for all new products transferred. This include all complete part drawing ,work instruction, quality plan, datasheet, original customer drawing,
pilot run report, PFMEA and other related documents. Product master file must be submitted to Document control department.
6. To support Process optimization in ensuring smooth pilot runs and communicate with vendors for the fabrication of fixtures, evaluate and buyoff fixture for functionality.
7. To be proactive towards potential available opportunities by initiating technical projects in maximizing line productivity and quality performances as well as minimizing cost by utilizing available statistical
tool, design of experimentation, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) and others.
8. To coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) “Handshaking” with production and related department for product acceptance and readiness for mass production mode. Create samples before each new
production run.
9. To react enthusiastically to customers on pilot run quality related issues rose towards provision of an acceptable solution with expedited Speed of Execution (SOE).
10. To participate fully in upholding integrity of our quality system such as ISO9000, ESD and other quality standards as requested by customers.
11. To implement all related Engineering Change Notice (ECN) accordingly and request to release ECN based on process changes or customer request.
12. To manage and control pilot run material effectively and provide inventory report timely.
13. To coordinate, plan, set up, method, processes and equipment worthiness and enhancement towards stabilization of critical process control.
14. To review and determine if defective material can be salvaged and to confirm scrap material status and provide reworks procedures if required.
15. To provide training to the related personal on the techniques and procedure of executing the process.
16. To work on cost reduction and improvement projects.
17. Carry out other task or duties that assigned from time to time
